Iona - Inner Hebrides - Scotland

Christians of all denominations come to the Inner Hebrides to worship on this sacred isle, home of the Celtic church founded by St. Columba and reputed burial place of 48 Scottish kings.

Newgrange - Dublin Ireland

The ancients may have placed their departed in this womblike tomb near Dublin, Ireland, to ensure their rebirth in the afterworld. The structure is aligned to catch a beam of life-giving sunlight at the winter solstice. The great spiral carved Newgrange is said to vibrate to specific electrical frequencies. Newgrange was built around 3,200 BCE. Its mound and interior have been recently restored. The enterior is solid except for a stone passage almost 62 feet long. The passage ends near the   center in a chamber 20 feet high with three anti-chambers.

St. Michael's Mount - Cornwall England

On both sides of the English Channel sitting atop formidible rock croppings , are the famous midieval sites of St Michaels Mount and Mont -St Michel (France). Both of these sites claim to have visitations by the Archangel Michael. The Mount has been associated with religious worship from the twelfth century, when a Benedictine monastery was erected here, although legend and conjecture suggest that the Mount has been seen as a place of spiritual importance long before that.   The Mount was also the legendary abode of the giants Cormoran and his wife Cormelian . Jack the Giant killer eventually defeated Cormoran , after the giant terrorised the surrounding lands. This Mount starts the famous ley line system that runs through many of England's most sacred sites.

Tara - Ireland

In Irish mythology, the 'Hill of Tara' was first the capital of the Firbolg , the mythical People of the Bag who settled in Ireland after fleeing from Greece, where they were enslaved and forced to carry earth in bags. The Firbolg made ships out of those bags and sailed to Spain, then to Ireland, which they ruled until the coming of the Tuatha de Danaan (Gaelic for People of the Goddess Danu or Dana). Later, Tara was the capital of the Milesians , also known as the Gaels.   Tara was also considered a gateway to the Otherworld and passage tombs dot the surrounding countryside. Many of these are considered the burial places of the Kings, and the valley has the nickname, 'Valley of the Kings'. In a ceremony that took place every ' Oíche Shamhna ', the King and his warriors would gather to protect this world against attacks coming from the Otherworld . The Sidhe (passage tombs or mounds) are also considered by legend to be the home of the Tuatha de Danann or the Fairy Folk.

There is a legend that tells of the biblical Jeremiah (also called Olembala ). In this legend he left Egypt with King Zedekiahs daughter who's name was 'Tea Tephi ', he also brought Tamar Tephi (her sister) and a his scribe Baruch. He boarded a ship of Tarshish . He also brought with him Jacobs Pillar Stone, the harp of King David and The 'Ark of the Covenant'. Irish records claim that Tamar stayed in Tarshish . Jeremiah took the remaining daughter to Ireland to a place called Tara. Jeramiah introduced God's law to the Irish, as he transplanted the Royal House of David.   These mounds of earth are called "The Mounds of Tea Tephi ." also known as Tara. Tea- Tephi later married the King of Ireland, whose ancestry can be traced to the line of Zarah , of the house of Israel. The marriage instituted the Throne of David in Ireland. Jacob's Pillar Stone is on display at Westminster Abby. Since that time, this is where all the Kings and Queens of Great Britain were crowned. They were crowned, while sitting on an ancient throne. Jacob's Pillar Stone was under this throne. According to Tea- Tephi , Jeremiah went on a ship, to the west, and never came back. He took with him, the mysterious Ark of the Covenant.

The People of Dana built vast palaces underground, inside of the hills of Tara and Ireland. These cities were rumored to be cities where one never grows old and Death is not known. Another legend associated with Tara is the one of St Patrick. St Patrick is most renowned for having chased the serpents out of Ireland. There are probably at least two sources for the snakes which Patrick drove out of Ireland. A symbol for the goddess worship practiced in Ireland prior to Christianity was the snake or serpent. The conversion of Ireland to Christianity symbolically banished the snake from the land. Secondly, the bloody cult of Crom Cruaich in County Caven demanded human sacrifice to a serpent deity and the dismantling of this cult by Christianity is now remembered as the snakes being driven from Ireland. The Tuatha Dé Danann were the Peoples of the Goddess Danu (or Anu ).

One more fascinating theory on why the Hills of Tara are so important is written by a man named 'William Henry'. While I don't agree with all of his teachings, I have several of Mr Henry's tapes and many of his articles downloaded. The Story is to involved to go into here, but it encompasses history as far back as the Sumerian's. Some of the things associated with Tara are: Abraham the son of Terah ; Jesus (called Pan-Tara or the God of Tara) by the Irish; The connection with Enki or E.A.; the Anunnaki (literally the Nun fish of Aki {light}); the Aryan race and Atlantis. There is more and I am including a link to this extremely thought provoking article.

Lough Derg - Ireland

This is a cave where the builders of the monastery are said to have walled up the entrance believed to have been the center of a very ancient pre-Christian mystery cult, akin to the Orphic and Eleusynian mysteries, visited by kings from Mediterranean lands in classical times.

Avebury Stone Circle - Wiltshire England

This ring of standing stones in Wiltshire England,   within which lies a whole village, may have been a prehistoric place of earth energies. Medieval Christians, fearful of its pagan aura, partially dismantled it. Avebury circle was part of a vast network of   sacred sites aranged along a nearly 200 mile line, stretching all across southern England. Positioned directly on this line are the great pilgrimage sites of Glastonbury Tor and St.Michael's Mount.

The Stone of Scone - England - Scotland

This stone , also known as the Coronation Stone or Stone of Destiny used to rest on a shelf beneath the Coronation Chair at Westminster Abby.. It has since been returned to the people of Scotland on November 11th 1996.   This stone has a unique myth surrounding it. It is said it would emit a loud cry if a rightful ruler touched it. From the 13th century on, every King or Queen has been crowned while sitting over this stone.   In Scotland the stone was kept at   Scone palace doing it's duty while 34 kings were crowned there. Tradition has it that the stone originated from Ireland where it was used to crown Kings upon the hill of Tara. Other legends state that it came from the land of Judah in the 4th century. Coming over when a daughter of the last king of Judah married into Royal Irish lineage. Before that the stone was kept in Jerusalem itself. The stone is also called Jacobs Pillow (see the Tea Tephi legend above under 'Tara'). There are many myths stating that the land called 'Scotland' is in fact the original Eden and the home of the Jewish lineage.

Some claim the stone is a fake and the original remained in Scotland all along. One tale suggests that the original Stone of Destiny was white marble, carved with decorative figures -- in no way resembling the plain slab of yellow sandstone with a single Latin cross carved on it that sat beneath the throne in Westminster Abbey for these past seven centuries. To make matters more confusing, there may have been several copies made down through the ages!   An amusing tale about the stone has the canny Scots fobbing off a fake to King Edward I, seven hundred years ago. Another equally amusing tale is that they gave King Edward the rock that held down the cover of the cess -pit at Scone Castle. This places the English Kings and Queens in a precarious place as they sat upon the 'throne' (so to speak)!

Ley Lines - World

England is full of lore concerning a phenomenon called ' Ley Lines', also know as 'Dragon Lines' or 'Energy Lines'. Earth is an enormous living entity with many complex interactions among it's various living entities. Atmospheric conditions, temperature variations, and sunlight intensity are examples of energy phenomena that affect people both physically and psychologically. The same is true of various geophysical energies such as magnetism; radioactivity; gravity; the presence of subsurface water; the presence of concentrated mineral ores; volcanic activity; earthquakes, tremors, and other seismic activity; ultrasound; ionization; earth lights; and other geophysical anomalies. Research has shown that many ancient sacred sites are located directly upon or in close proximity to areas known to have unusual levels of these various kinds of geophysical phenomena. Connecting these area's is a system of lines we call Ley Lines.

When you look at maps of ley lines you will begin to see many 'sacred' cathedrals or   places of healing along them especially noticeable is the energy where these lines converge (called nodes).   Below are some links with maps showing how Buckingham Palace and other famous sites are built upon these lines.

MOSQUE La Mezquita - CÓRDOBA   SPAIN

Cordoba was the capital of the Spanish Muslim dynasty of the Ummayads (756-1031). The great Mosque was founded in 758 CE. The prayer hall is filled with nearly 500 columns and arches. Before the occupation of the Muslims, the site had been a Christian church dedicated to Saint Vincent. Before that the site had been a temple dedicated to the Roman god Janus . Janus was a double headed god of doorways and gates. Taking over of pagan power sites by the churches has happened many times and at many places. It has been a Christian held cathedral since 1523.
